Connecting people through visuals
I picked up a camera for the first time back in 2010, and for a long time it stayed a side thing. My actual career was in design and tech, and I spent 11 years there learning how to think in systems, solve problems, and work closely with people to build something that actually serves them. That background never left. It just found a new outlet.
Somewhere along the way, the camera stopped being a side hustle. I started shooting more, thinking about light and composition the way I used to think about interfaces and user flows, and realized the same instincts that made me good at design were making me good at this too. So I made the shift.
Today I work as a DP at Goodo Studios and run my own independent productions across commercial, documentary, wedding, and social content. Whether I'm lighting a brand spot or shooting someone's wedding day, the approach is the same: pay attention, plan for the details that matter, and make the whole process easy for the people I'm working with.
